1. Ron Paul has the numbers! Vote for him. He consistently does well in Zogbi polls even though he has been cast as a weirdo by the establishment corporate media. They’re scared to death of him and he HAS the numbers.

   END THE FED!

2. Actually, Ron Paul looks weaker this time than he did in the run up to the 2008 nomination.

   Two things, I suspect, are at it’s root.

   Firstly, the Tea Party has been running out of steam since 2010. Not out of steam but getting low. The same thing happened to the left after 2008. What is getting particularly less prominent are Tea Partiers of Ron Paul’s anti-Fed, true believer libertarian variety.

   Secondly, we have seen other folks take up the kind of Tea Party label. Michele Bachmann is hardly similar to Paul, but she is taking up the same kind of anti-establishment mantle that he held all by his lonesome four years ago.

3. True – (I just saw your comment now – so disregard my recent post saying you never talked about Paul)

   Folks like Bachman and even Newt Gingrich (how humorous) are putting on the cloak of being anti-establishment because it’s popular. Ron Paul is doing it for real though and it is more popular than ever right now. Don’t be fooled by gauging his popularity according to the mainstream corporate media because they’re doing their best to discredit him. They largely fail at their task, but repetition is the key – anything can become true by virtue of repetition (I don’t believe this, but I’m sure the MSM do).

   Perception is not reality. Paul has the numbers and the support. Just, a lot of blow-ins to Tea Party politics are getting herded into the pen of supporting mainline republicans – it’s getting co-opted in fact.

   The Tea Party will not be a force to be reckoned with if it can be brought back into the fold of two-party politics and totally emasculated.
